WORKPLACE RESILIENCE TRAINING
Growth is the gift hidden inside adversity.

Resilience Resources
SUMMARY
Resilience is a reflection of how we adapt to events that are beyond our control. Being resilient is about adapting successfully to adverse events, disappointments, and setbacks (Masten, 2014; Infurna et al., 2024). When faced with challenges - whether they're global crises like Covid-19, personal loss like the death of someone we love, or career setbacks like the loss of a job - resilience emerges as our ability to adapt and move forward positively.
Our ability to be resilient depends on several factors that we can strengthen and develop. This program teaches you how to harness stress in positive ways to tap into your creativity and strengths under pressure. You'll discover your own resilience resources and learn practical ways to handle pressure, all while building the kind of optimistic outlook that makes a real difference in how you deal with challenges.
CORE COMPONENTS
The program focuses on protective factors that enable resilience, such as: self-awareness, self-regulation, mental agility, optimism, self-efficacy, connection, positive institutions, and adaptive mindset. Participants learn to pause and track their internal thoughts and emotions, regulate their responses to stress, look at problems from multiple perspectives, and set meaningful goals. We'll also work on building your optimism in two ways: dispositional optimism--believing that good things will happen, and your explanatory style--how to frame setbacks as temporary and specific rather than permanent and pervasive.
YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO:
Understand and strengthen your personal resilience resources.
Learn to notice and change thoughts and actions that aren't helping you.
Develop skills to calm your fight/flight response under pressure.
Identify the reliable relationships in your life who can support you constructively in difficult times.
Figure out what you can actually change versus what you need to accept.
Notice your response to adversity and develop and approach mindset to stress.
Learn why optimists enjoy greater social support and relationship satisfaction than pessimists.
YOU WILL GAIN:
Optimistic Explanatory Style: Learn to notice that causes of setbacks are changeable and specific, not permanent and pervasive.
Stronger Relationships: Develop gratitude practices that strengthen connections and build the support network that resilience requires. And build a relationship with at least one person who always thinks well of you.
Flexible Problem-Solving: Cultivate the ability to look at things from different angles, observe the root cause, and find new solutions when your first approach isn't working.
Approach Orientation: Learn to walk toward challenges with strategies for change rather than withdrawing.
Improved Self-Awareness: Notice your thoughts, emotions, and even your physical responses when stressed and ask whether they're helping or getting in your way.
